Episode 42: The Life and Trial of Lizzie Borden

In August of 1892, one of the most famous murders in American criminal history occurred in Fall River, Massachusetts. A young woman was accused of murdering her father and stepmother in a crime that was so heinous, it left ripples throughout the community for years to come. The trial became a national sensation and the outcome shocked everyone who followed it at the time. This is the story of the life and trial of Lizzie Borden.

Episode 38: The Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre

On the Morning of February 10th, 1990. In Las Cruces, New Mexico, a bowling alley mechanic named Steven Teran arrived to work just before 8:30 am. With him were his two daughters, six-year-old Paula and two-year-old Valerie. The girls would be cared for by the bowling alley owner’s granddaughter, 12-year-old Melissia Repass and her friend 13-year-old Amy Houser at the daycare which was inside of the bowling alley. What happened next, is something that would haunt the community for decades to come. This is the story of the Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre.

Episode 36: The Murder of Rita Politte

On December 4th 1998, 14 year old Michael Politte was hanging out in his hometown of Hopewell Missouri. It was a typical evening and Michael met us with his friend Josh and then invited him over for a sleepover. Michael’s mother, Rita, came home around midnight and everyone went to bed. The next morning, the boys woke up to find the entire mobile home filled with smoke… but that wasn’t all. Rita had been brutally murdered, and her death would set off a chain of events that would change Michael’s life forever. This is the murder of Rita Politte.
